Today I was logged in and got kicked off the line.  When I tried to log back into the server, the first time it asks for "logon"  I try to type, but nothing happens.  Has anyone seen this before.  Sorry for the poor explanation of the problem.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

It sounds like the login process (driven by getty) has gotten confused on the unix server.

You could try sending a break to see if that unsticks it (commands->send break) otherwise it looks like your unix machine admin will have to look over the problem.
