Remote Desktop on XP

We have a client who uses a VPN from home to connect to his XP desktop using RDP. Ice-pro now fails to start with an error message about running terminal services and a licence violation. Is there any way we can solve this?

Anytime you are running from a remote machine you are by our definition running a thin client and thus require a thin client license. Contact sales at 612-677-8200 for pricing details. Note that if you are running offsite over a VPN there is no reason to use remote desktop, just run pro on the client PC.

Yep, OK we'll look into that. I appreciate your comments about running it on the clients machine I would have preferred to do that. Unfortunately the server is on a remote subnet that we have no control of and are unable to make the router aware of the VPN.
