What are you trying to do? Move "Word for Unix" files on the Unix machine to Windows or the other way around??

Word on windows should read Word on Unix files without conversion. You just need to move them as binary files from the unix machine to the windows machine using ucopy if you have a serial connection (which I assume you do since you posted in the serial forum) or ftppro if using a network connection.

To move word for windows files to unix you meed to export them in a old enough version so they will be compatible with word for unix. If word for unix is not explicitly in your list of export options in word for windows you'll  need to pick some other older format like word version 2 or something.

Note again that you should transfer the files both ways as BINARY not TEXT files.
