ICE PRINTING
« on: October 27, 2006, 10:28:13 am »

This is similar to a few posts on the site already (May 8; June 19; Aug 10).

I have a customer running Telnet Pro 5.1.26 on Windows XP and when they try to print screen (as in the posts above) nothing happens or they get a blank page.  We have tried a variety of combinations as suggested in previous posts.

This is a completely new install of the programme so there is no chance of a conflict between versions.

It has been quite difficult to ascertain what to do next (would it be an idea to put together a post condensing these printer type problems - the faq and error message ones are extremely useful).

Many thanks

Use the printer icon on the toolbar to do a printscreen without printing the resot of the buffer.

If the printer is a PCL printer (it can print characters) and is directly connected to the computer, use direct printing in the print options in the profile.

If the printer is a winprinter (can't print text, these are usually the <$100 models) you can ONLY use raster printing.

Remember when you change the default profile, the changes don't take place until you close and reopen TelnetPro. If you change the active profile, it's only in effect for that session.
