QNAP and Music Library & JRiver
« on: September 14, 2015, 09:55:53 am »

I usually run my JRiver with music from a external WD HDD with MACBook Pro. I have an identical copy of the library on a QNAP HS210. When I run JRiver on the QNAP lib and compare it with the WD HDD, JRiver have far fewer trackers on the QNAP and says it fails to import the rest.  When looking at the log files, these tracks seem to be random. JRiver does not list a reason for the failure. I also run Assets and Minim and these DLNA Server do get the tracks which JRiver fails to import. Assets misses all DSD files but was to be expected and will be solved with release 5 of Asset

Some numbers
Library              No. Tracks
JRiver WD           30809

JRiver QNAP   26892
Asset QNAP   30005
Minim QNAP   30800

Can I get more info out of JRiver in order access the cause of the failure to import.

I did that and some tracks are playing fine, but in most cases JRiver says "there is nothing to play". Using Asset with another player from the same files it plays fine??
