Closed Captioning
« on: September 17, 2015, 05:22:43 pm »

Last week I downloaded the trial software. We like your software. We hope to replace WMC. My wife is hearing impaired so without closed captioning, JRiver MediaCenter cannot meet our minimum requirements.

Maybe there is something I'm not doing correctly? How can I get Closed Captioning to work?

I have Comcast digital cable using SiliconDust HDHomeRun Prime with CableCard. The signal has CC in it, we watch in WMC however, when we next upgrade to Windows10 we need a replacement for WMC. I want to be using JRiver MediaCenter.

Please advise us how to proceed.

I did a search and found this thread that seems to indicate that Closed Captioning is NOT supported in MC "yet".  It seems to be a project that's been talked about, but not yet implemented.
