compressed audio restorer
« on: July 25, 2016, 02:04:09 pm »

hi everyone, I search it in the forum and wiki but didn't find it, is there a dsp or plug in for jriver to restore compressed audio like mp3 or stream music from spotify?
I had that on my denon AVR and it worked nicely
Now I'm playing music from a computer plugged in analog to a denon RCD-M40 and I'm searching for a solution
thanks a lot

There's no such thing.  There are many things marketed as "restorers", but the fact is, you can't get back what you've lost in lossy compression.

Rip your collection to lossless and you'll always have full quality.

Otherwise, all you're doing with these things that are built in to car stereos, boom boxes, and the like, is some creative equalization.

thanks for your answer, well the restorer of my 2000€ denon avr 3808 seems to do the job
my concern is not for my collection wich I have in CD, but for the streaming music like spotify or groove music for instance :)
I think about Qobuz wich offers lossless quality but unfortunatly they don't have the same catalog than the others :( a lot of what I'm listening is missing
