Problem syncing to Sony Walkman X-1050 via external Encoder
« on: August 11, 2015, 04:49:52 pm »

Hi,

since this is my first post i have to point out that i am very satisfied with MC20, its audio and video performance is just superior to every other mediacenter solution on windows.

But i have a very serious problem with its sync capabilities in combination with external encoders.
My sync chain looks like this: MC20>dbpoweramp>FDK AAC>Sony Walkman X-1050

Conversion works fine and transfer is also no problem (a bit slow maybe).
The problem is that JRiver tells me my Handheld has not enough free space and removes many files from my synclist until it thinks it would fit.
But after sync i always have tons of free space on my Walkman.
My guess is that JRiver does not wait until conversion is finished to calculate space requirements but simply takes unconverted filesizes (in my case Flac) as a reference.

This bug is really annoying as i have to sync little portions of the whole synclist over and over again.

Pleeeease fix this, you would save me a lot of precious time i can spend listening instead of staring on my screen waiting.  ;D

Greetings,

Nuke
