Sophos - standard recommendations for configuartion with JRiver

Many postings about intermittent skipping or stuttering playback end with a suggestion (frequently from Jim) that user's antivirus software is the underlying cause.

I'm using Sophos Endpoint Security & Control v10.3 on a Win 7/64 bit machine.  What are the recommended settings/tweaks for this software to minimize trouble (I've already told it to ignore the directories on my NAS where the music files (FLAC, DSD, AIFF) live as well as the c:\program files\jriver directory).

I haven't said that antivirus is usually responsible for stuttering problems, but it is true that AV software is a common cause.  

Uninstalling antivirus software is the only reliable way to know whether it is causing the problem.  

If you have problems that are caused by antivirus software, you should contact the maker of the software for their advice.

In general, AV software should not be set to check media files.
