display/resolution issue on 4k TV
« on: September 28, 2015, 02:00:09 pm »

I just bought a Samsung JS9500 SUHD TV. The number of movies in theater mode that were displayed on the 1080P screen went from 8 movies in a row to only 5 on the 4K. I tried changing the font size that did not help. As this is my first 4k TV don't know if there is anything that needs to be set differently in JRiver.

Go to Tools>Options>Theater View and under Appearance>Size, try setting it to 75%.

I guess that depends on what scaling you have your Windows set to. But yeah you can correct it by setting the size. I have to do that on my TV too, as I don't like the "big" default.

Thanks CB I will try that. Hendrik when you refer to the "scaling you have the windows set to". Is this in the video card settings or somewhere else?

Windows will probably apply scaling automatically on a 4K TV, as text would otherwise be unreadably small. Its in the Windows Display settings somewhere.
But you can compensate for that with the Theater View settings. 150% in Windows makes 66% in MC, and you get 100% in total. ;)
