DLNA and DSD Problems with 21.0.9
« on: September 30, 2015, 10:30:01 pm »

I'm evaluating JRiver for purchase, in particular for the ability to play back DSD files to my receiver. However, it doesn't seem to be working right.

I want to use DLNA to my Denon AVR-X7200W (which is DSD capable).

I have "Bitstream DSD (requires DoPE compliant renderer)" checkmarked.

I can stream lossless FLAC files with a bitrate of ~5500 to the receiver just fine (it reports getting a FLAC 192kHz).

But, when I try to stream a DSD file (extension .dsf), of about the same bitrate, the Denon receiver reports getting a WAV 176.4kHz, but I get NO sound at all. I know the files work, because they play from my Android to my Oppo HA-2 just fine.

Any ideas on what might be set wrong?

John

Welcome to the forum.

MC can convert files when it's used as a DLNA Server.  Please check the settings there (under Media Network).
