kanniet:
Since I updated this week to El Capitan I cannot rip any cd's, cd is not recognized in JRiver MC 21, please refresh. The drive is readable through iTunes and Max. Please fix this.

Magic_Randy:
Same issue here. Since upgrading to OS X El Capitan I can no longer rip CDs with MC21. The drive is recognized, but the CD is not. I can rip with iTunes.

Magic_Randy:
Any comment on this?

I'm no longer able to rip CDs using MC. I have MC21, MC20 and PMW and I cannot rip with any version. iTunes works but I don't want to rip with iTunes.

Note: The windows version is OK but my Windows machine died.

Yeah, itunes ripping should definitely be avoided.  It way too limited IMHO.

In the mean time of JRiver figuring this out, you could try a different third party tool for ripping.  I use XLD (free) and it works quite well.

Brian.

I purchased a 3rd party ripper and am now up and running.
