I frequently rename a video. This is how I do it.
In the FILES list, click on the name, press F2, edit it and then hit enter. There is then a message that says it is saving tag changes. This new name 'sticks' for a few days then reverts to the previous version. Sometimes this happens the next time I start up MC, sometimes not for several months. As far as I can tell all other fields remain unchanged. As renaming so often becomes tedious I have started renaming the file to the NAME field thus making it easier to rename by using FILL PROPERTIES FROM FILE NAME.
I have not seen this behaviour with audio files.
Currently using windows 10 on dual Xeon 3.0Ghz (8 cores total) & 32G RAM. The behaviour was the same on my previous window XP machine. MC 20.0.132. I have seen this behaviour on earlier MC versions also.
Is this a bug? or am I doing something wrong? Is there a setting somewhere?
