MC 20 Fails to Convert DSD to 16-bit, 44-KHz FLAC
« on: January 27, 2015, 02:22:23 am »

I recently installed MC 20 for Windows.  When I try to convert DSD files to 16-bit, 44-KHz FLAC files, MC 20 looks like it has performed the conversion in a tenth of a second, but it then reports that the conversion failed.  When I try the same thing with MC 19 on the same computer, however, it works fine.

Didn't MC 20 import the settings from MC 19?  Any idea why it fails?  (I couldn't find the option in MC 20 to convert to 44 KHz for this particular conversion, though the Output dialog box showed every frequency (including the one for above 300K) to convert to 44 KHz.)

I'm bitten by the same issue.

Any response from the company?

Hmm, I just tested this with with and without "output format" set up.  It converted to 44.1 when I told it to and to 352.8 when I didn't specify an output format.

Are you using Library Tools > Convert Format ?   Then:

Select FLAC Encoder
Press Options
Select "Apply DSP"
Click DSP Settings
Configure the output format for 352,800 to output to the format you want.  44.1 for example.
