id3v2 tags versions

Is there a way to set which idv2 tag to use? at the moment MC9 writes my tags using version 2.3 but my portable jukebox only recognizes upto 2.0 meaning that it can't see any data stored in the tag. Any solution for it?

never heard of a device using ID3v2.0 only.

but you can turn off Id3v2 and write only Id3v1 and most devices will read them.

thru the plug-in manager
