MC 21 XX for Linux where is the explorer?

Greetings Bob, and team.
After waiting for several months, I have successfully installed MC 21.0.16 using Ubuntu Unity.
I thank Awesome Donkey and all for the help. It was easy. I am still trying to acquaint myself with the get used to new stuffs.
I am wondering if we are going to have under the tree, the "explorer" similar to what we have on the Windows platform.
The reason why I ask is that most of my audio and video libraries are stored in a couple of external RAID boxes which connect to the PC via either Esata, or USB3.0
Ubuntu unity does not currently detects the RAID Hzw, but does not detect the contents, on the other hand, the contents on standard drives are detected. Can the explorer be made to scan RAID devices used as storages?
Also, a question that the developers may not like me to ask.. When are we going to have the "Theater view" ?
This is why I was not interested in installing MC for over one years.

The problem here is various distros/desktop environments use different file managers, unlike Windows or Mac. Trying to support them all would become a nightmare, I'm thinking.

If your OS can't see the files, no application can see the files. You have to get your drives mounted on a mount point before anything can see the files. Once you've got that, you should be able to import your media through all of the normal import methods.
"Explorer" is just a way of looking at files. Which you don't need in MC. You can look at files externally if you want. For files that are imported, there's no need to browse by file system. You can use the metadata, which is much more powerful.

What I mean here is the explorer that is under the tree in MC, this displays the folders on the drives.
On this new Ubuntu set up, I have two USB drives in a case, Ubuntu(Unity) sees the two drives and displays the drives' contents. I was wondering why it can not display the contents on External RAID drives. The drives are assigned I, and F, just as the drives on the other 2TB Seagate are assigned j and K. The drives letters are stripped off when they display.
Anyone knows of a utility that will do this in Ubuntu or mount these RAID boxes.
Remember this is my second day using this, so it is all new to me.
The last time I used Linux was Fedora 8, long time ago.

Make sure that you have the dmraid package installed and then reboot.

Your drives should be automounted on startup now. If not, report back.
