I just checked and it looks like build 240 has the latest version of MP3 plug-in.

Can you send me one of the corrupted files, so we can take a look at the tag info. (nikolay @ jriver.com)

Is there a particular reason that you're not using 9.0.180 instead of 9.0.179? I have not had any such problems with the latest version. I have more than 30 K MP3s, and they all keep their tags. And I'm totally dependand on the comment and extended genre tags in V2 since I use my own systems for that.
