In this thread, wim stolk reported JRiver MC21 crashing:

I've read through the log file a little and it looks like it's failing to build a thumbnail one or more image files.  Specifically:

BuildThumbnails: Building: /Users/wimstolk/Pictures/jol duitse wadden.psd
0040158: 6508544: General: CThumbnailCacheInfo::CreateThumbnail: Start
0040158: 6508544: General: CThumbnailCacheInfo::CreateThumbnail: Filename: /Users/wimstolk/Pictures/jol duitse wadden.psd
0040158: 6508544: Database: CThumbnailsDatabase::AddThumbnail: Start
0040571: 6508544: Database: CThumbnailsDatabase::AddThumbnail: Finish (412 ms)
0040571: 6508544: General: CThumbnailCacheInfo::CreateThumbnail: Finish (412 ms)
0040581: 6508544: Import: BuildThumbnails: Building: /Users/wimstolk/Pictures/kadobon lavie.tif

Neither of those files appear to finish.  I would move them to a directory that MC can't see and see what happens.

I have moved those 2 files to another directory. AND IT WORKED !!!! for the first time I could run mc 21.
it is still running for 20 minutes now. and the sound compared to mc20 seems to be improved as well.

We can reproduce the crash importing on a Mac, so hopefully John will be able to find the fix.
