Is there a way to rotate videos of MOV type in MediaCenter 21 for Mac?  My iPhone recorded videos are sometimes up side down and sideways and I'd like to watch them with MC21.

I think some progress might have been made on this front very, very recently. But I'm not 100% sure of the details... Hendrik?

There is no rotation support for Mac right now, and I'm not sure when it'll appear on Mac. Will need to investigate how much effort it would be to actually do it. Rotating videos is rather annoying, unfortunately.

I do plan another feature push for Video on Mac soon, if it turns out easy enough it may be part of that.

In the meantime Quicktime player can rotate and then save MOV files.

Load the file in quicktime.  Edit > Rotate (left, right, etc) .  Close the file.  It will prompt you for a new name to save it under.

You can do this (on windows, are these options available on a MAC?) by going into "tools > options > file types" and setting "Quicktime" from automatic to "Quicktime engine"

If Quicktime can play them correctly orientated, why can't MC?
Is it more proprietry Apple shenanigans?

MC for Mac does not have a file types entry in the options panel.

Because MC doesn't support the Rotation flag in MP4 and MOV files, which is part of the standard. Many other applications do, not just QuickTime. More info is available in the answer to this question:
