JimH:
If you see the restore option, you should be able to enter your Registration Code there.

Awesome Donkey:
To use a license from the command line, open a Terminal and put in the following;

--- Code: ---mediacenter21 /RestoreFromFile <path to .mjr file>
--- End code ---

For the path part, just drag and drop the .mjr license file into the Terminal... assuming the QNAP OS has a file explorer-type of feature. If it doesn't you'll have to type the path in.

Could someone run a benchmark and paste the result here?  It's under MC's Help menu.

Paul S.A. Renaud:
I am considering moving from my QNAP HS 210 to the HS 251+ because the HS 210 does not support HD Station and thus I cannot install JRiver on the QNAP. A question is whether the QNAP HS 251+ together with JRiver support USB DAC's directly from the QNAP. Does one need drivers for a USB DAC when using JRiver with the QNAP. Are there fundamental differences between the QNAP HS 251 + JRiver on the QNAP and a QNAP plus a dedicated NUC running JRiver

Take a look at the recommended compatible hardware list:
https://www.qnap.com/i/useng/product_x_grade/product_intro.php?g_cat=15&II=197&hf=0
Brand       Model       Remark
Sony              PHA-2      USB DAC
M2TECH      hiFace Two           USB DAC
Fostex      HP-A4      USB DAC
Logitech           A-5572A      USB Sound Card

Looks like a limited range.

I can't provide better advice than that. I'd expect anything other than the OEM recommendation will be a matter for trial and error.
