Difficult to get CD Rip started
« on: May 18, 2016, 02:45:55 am »

I am new to JRiver. I am in the process of ripping all of my CDs to FLAC format. Overall I am very happy with JRiver however I am having a really tough time getting the ripping process started. I have to press "Rip Disc" or "Rip Tracks" many times before it gets going.

I get error messages that say things like there is no disc in drive. It may start and then stop. It might ask me to refresh?
Some times it starts and sounds like the process has started in earnest and then it just stops.

Any input you an offer will be much appreciated.

Thanks!

What is the version of OSX?

Can you rip with another program?

I have intermittently had the exact same problem.  The last time I tested it, I had NO ISSUES, so something has changed with my Mac or MC or both.

However, I'm still very used to using a third party utility for ripping, so I still do that instead.
