Designate ONE tuner but still accessing all of them
« on: December 10, 2015, 01:48:09 pm »

Trying to keep MC from using all my tuners except for one. Only have one tuner checked in Open Cable profile. Yet, if that one tuner is in use or showing error/not available, MC will grab one of the other tuners. Right now, I'm still using WMC and want MC to only use ONE tuner. Is that possible or impossible?

I'm pretty sure you can force channels to use a tuner in the "Manage Channels" section.

You could force all of your channels to use one tuner in MC, so the second one is free for WMC.

That's a lot of work, too many channels, too many clicks.

Better method: Tools > Options > Television > Manage Devices > select tuner > Configure > select DISABLE
repeat for each tuner

go to TV Options > Manage Devices, select each device and click Configure.  Select "Disable" from the Tuner type drop-down list for any tuner that you do not want MC to use.

Edit: You figured it out before I posted.
