Whenever I delete a file I would prefer to send it the Recycle Bin rather than Delete entirely. However every time I chose to send it to the Recycle Bin a message says "The Recycle Bin is full or disabled for this drive". Well it's not full - and it's not disabled (at least for Windows file deletion).

How can I troubleshoot and fix this?

The files I usually are working with are video files (TV recordings) which are typically a couple of GB in size.

This is why I choose Find on External and then delete, this way it ends up in the recycle bin.

That was a neat tip.
But still MC should do it (send to Recycle Bin) if it offers that option in the "delete menu".

works for me with a drive letter or mapped, lettered drive; but not with a UNC path?? Not sure why

Or if the network drive does have some kind of trash management feature it's local to the remote box.  I have a linux box serving files via samba shares, and I deleted something on one of the shares from a windows box. It didn't appear in my Windows recycle bin (which I expected), but I had a bit of a shock when I later went to the other room to use the Linux machine and saw the deleted file in the recycle bin on my Linux box!
