Audio Breaking Up - Unlistenable
« on: January 12, 2016, 08:15:04 am »

I installed 32 and the audio started breaking up on music that had played without a problem yesterday.  I reverted to 25 same thing, then I tried 24 without any luck.  I then removed each version and reinstalled them one by one with the same result.  I have no idea what happened.  I sure hope some one can give me some help.

Thanks

Your audio settings might have been altered somehow by the installation or other wise so....

Try some "safe" Audio settings in MC and see if they help:

Tools > Options > Audio > Audio Device >  (Choose your audio device by name. NOT default output)

Tools > Options > Audio > Audio Device > Device Settings:
Open with Exclusive access:  Uncheck
Integer mode:  Uncheck
Channel Offset: 0

Buffering:
Software:  250mS
Hardware:  Hardware Default

Click OK on the various windows until you come back to MC's main window.  Close MC and reopen it.  Then try playing some music and see (hear) what you get.  :)

After all the hassle I thought, maybe I should try restarting, that did the trick.  I appreciate the quick response.
