[REQ] Import log file
« on: January 15, 2016, 05:05:52 pm »

I did an import of a large number of files, and part way into the Details, it says:

 <too many items to display>

If there is a reason to display any of the files, then there is a reason to display all of them.

Outside of playback, Import is the most important task done by MC.

It would be very helpful if we can get a Log file output from the Import, with all of the things displayed in real-time in the corner of the display, and then everything from the Details.

Thanks!

Matt

Well the define is 10000:
#define MAXIMUM_SUMMARY_LINES                     10000

I'm a little nervous about making it even bigger because presumably the limit was put there for a reason.

Okay, but having a log file of Import would be very helpful for a number of situations.

Are they all in the actual Log file? I'd bet they are...

It would be advantageous to just have a separate log file for imports (optionally), so that one would not have to run full logging all the time.
