Hey all:

Been using MC on Windows 7 for years, now got a Macbook Pro with MC21 on it.  New to the Mac, so maybe not finding what I need.

One thing I did on Windows was to make the key sequence esc-esc stop play back and revert to the library when playing a video file.  That allows me to use keyboard shortcut instead of mouse and click.  I edited the resource.xml file and placed into the data\custom resources location.  Works great on Windows.

I have searched the forum and see similar guidance, but on my Macbook Pro I can't find anything at the recommended location:
    Library/JRiver/Media Center 21/Data

I find JRiver in my Documents location with Media Center 21\ and Library Backups\ under that...but no data directory.

I put a data directory there with my custom resources\resource.xml under it but to no good effect.

Can you please advise how to get MC to read my resource.xml file? or maybe educate me on the Mac (it's new after all) and where to find the data directory?  Or maybe there's a better way after all to accomplish what I want.

You're looking in the wrong directory.

Right click on Finder then select Go to Folder... and put in the following;

Code: [Select]

~/Library/Application Support/J River/Media Center 21
If the file needs to go into the Data folder, it should be there.

Thanks!  Works fine again.  Didn't understand the Mac paradigm where the favorites shown were all directories under the Macintosh HD.
