[20.0.23] Matroska audio files reporting inaccurate lengths
« on: February 18, 2016, 07:39:50 pm »

So I recently ripped a Dolby TrueHD-encoded 5.1 mix of a soundtrack from a blu-ray via DVDFab. I told it to rip an exact copy of the title in question, and split it apart by chapter. Since this produced .truehd files not natively playable in MC, I then used MKVMerge to remux them to MKA containers. They play in MC just fine, but I noticed that all of the tracks in question are reporting that they are twice as long as they should be.

For the record, playback is fine, and despite the erroneous reporting, the songs themselves are only as long as they ought to be. When the end of a given song is reached, the progress nob will be around the middle somewhere, yet it will still move on to the next track, so this isn't so much a glaring technical issue as it is something that draws my curiosity. Why is this happening? Is there any way to fix it?
