Video playback problems
« on: February 14, 2016, 03:26:48 am »

first when madvr is used and you right click couple of times with the mouse and the menu shows after some seconds the video seems to blink if i dicrible it ok!
this happens in every madvr version i test and JRV 21 stable or latest

on evr when the video is on mini screen down left in display box and you double click to go to fullscreen when see fullscreen pixelized for a sec and the works ok.

are those bugs? or something i miss?

thx in advance!

You only need to right click once to get the MadVR menu to display, and it displays fast on my PC.

I don't get pixelation when expanding the mini screen to full screen.

It sounds to me like your hardware is struggling to play video.

Why don't you run the MC Benchmark (Menu>Help>Benchmark) and report the results here. Copy and paste the full results into a post. Then someone may be able to comment on whether the power of your PC could be the issue.

the pixelation problem occurs in EVR render and as for madvr the few right clicks that shows the menu makes the screen a kinda tear effect

Please run the benchmark.  It's under the Help menu.  Paste the result here.

Okay - so you have a powerful machine and high-end graphics card. You should not have any problems with madVR - unless, maybe you have the settings in madVR set "too high". Also, you may want to post your problem on the madVR forum. http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=146228

I suggest you reset madVR back to its defaults and see if that fixes it (use the "restore default settings.bat" file in the ... AppData>Roaming>J River>Media Center 21>Plugins>madvr folder), then make your changes in madVR one at a time.

Since no one else on the JRiver forum is reporting a problem with madVR, I suggest the issue is not with JRiver.

Report back if it was a settings issue. Good Luck.

Don't do anything with madVR directly.  Try this:

1.  Choose Red October Standard in MC's video settings.

2.  Choose Red October HQ.

Try both and let us know what you find.

What is your nvidia driver version? It might be helpful to run the display driver uninstaller tool available on Guru3D.com (http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html) in safe mode and then reinstall the latest driver (361.91) from scratch.
