Ok Button Cyles power on my stereo
« on: March 11, 2016, 10:52:06 am »

I have my TV, and stereo hooked up to a Microsoft Ehome IR transceiver, and I have ran the remote setup wizard twice.  I want to use my MCE remote to turn the TV on, Turn the stereo on, Turn Both on Together, turn stereo up, down, and mute it but here is my problem.  When I setup my IR commands, everything works but pressing ok on my mce remote cycles the power on my stereo, and JRiver does not see the ok command.  This happens on the Ok, and Enter buttons on the remote.  What could be causing this and how do I fix it.

I'm on JRiver 21 for windows ten.  The stereo is a Yamaha rxv 675.  No matter which button I program to turn on the stereo, or even if I disable the power command for my stereo, OK and Enter still cycle the stereo's power.  Could this be a problem with IR code MC sees, a bug or what?

Solved it by moving my amplifier on button to the * key on my remote.  I'm guessing this fixed it because the star button is not an MCE command.
