Removing skin overlays
« on: March 11, 2016, 09:53:24 am »

I'm replacing the background in my MC setup but when I add the new background, JRiver still applies an overlay to the image in theater view.  I want the original image to show up as my background so how do I get rid of the overlay?  The skin I am trying to modify is obsidian.   thanks.

Try disabling the theme. Just go to Tools -> Options -> Theater View, Click on Theme and set it to (No Theme). You might also need to set the Background to Skin Image.

Disabling the theme did the trick, thanks.

I am trying this again.  I added the pictures I want in my background, and I removed the background.png in my skin folder but the program still darkens all of the pictures in my skin.  I think I remember reading that jriver will point to a default overlay if background.png is not found in the skin folder.  I don't want an overlay, instead I want bright pictures.  How do I do this?
