Change field tags displays and order
« on: March 09, 2016, 08:19:42 am »

in the low-right windows a number of colums are displayed for the selected item (file)
Name, Album Artist, Album, Rating, Genre, Disc#, Track#, Durantion, Bitrate, File Type, Date, Filename ...
I can hide some of them and displaying other by right clicking (good) but the next time I enter the view I still see the default tags in the default order.
How can I save my new preferred selection?

thanks

Right click on any column header, then:

Presets->Save (you may need to scroll down to find it)

You can name you name all your presets and recall them with this method too.

as Mark said :)

remember should this should be done on the machine running as media server (not from a client machine on the network). Otherwise on reloading the server's library, it will overwirte your changes as this is library based.

This is handy for playing now, but column selection should be remembered per view as long as it is modified on the machine loading a local library... euh I think ... gonna check later.

Yes. That's right. If the View is Locked, it won't save the changes. But it'll warn you that it is locked when you navigate away from it.

and, yes, I learned the hard way that these thins must be done on the server, otherwise they get lost :)
