I am using a hifi diyme sabre dac.  The recommended drivers from the manufacturer come with ASIO software.  I have uninstalled this already.  While playing recorded media through jriver, the sound cuts out every few seconds, and the audio signal indicator on my stereo cuts out.  I have the same problem when using powerdvd playing live blu-rays.  If I turn off output formatting in JRiver, and give powerdvd exclusive control of my audio, I can get blurays to play normally in surround.  In jriver with output formatting disabled, the sound in my recordings in both Jtv format, and my MKVs recorded in flac have a problem where the sound cuts out, and said indicator on my receiver cut out.  Any ideas as to what could be causing this?  Is more information needed about the problem?  My final goal is to have my recordings and mkvs play smoothly in surround.  Thanks
