Help Downloading to MP3 Player using MJ

Hi I am new to this board and would like a little help.  I brought a NEX IIe MP3 player and would like to download music to it.  I am using Windows XP and I am having problems with downloading the music.  I thought I could use Media Jukebox to download, but I can't seem to get it to work.

When I plug in the MP3 player USB it creates a new drive F:.  Then I go to MJ Media Library to drag the songs I want into the F drive, but I continue to get an error message, and I can't download the songs.  I have email tech support for the NEX IIe and at this time no one can help me.  I have tried everything I can think of to get the music on the player disk.

So I thought I would post a message here in hopes that someone maybe able to point me in the right direction for some help with this problem. :-[

Appreciate any help you might provide..... :-/

Shelle,

Try drag and dropping files to your Nex from Windows Explorer. If it fails, then you have a hardware/driver problem with your Nex and you will have to work with them. If not, we can troubleshoot this further.

Hi Steve,

I have tried dragging it from Windows Explorer to NEX IIe and it didn't work.  What I think I did wrong was load the the NEX IIe software and maybe I shouldn't have done that with Windows XP.  

Anyway, I have been back and forth with NEX tech support and we have not come up with the answer yet.

I am not sure what my next move is yet.  I am going to work on it again this morning and then post the error message I get.  Maybe someone will be able to tell me what the problem.

Okay,

I just tried again to drag to song/file into NEX IIe and the first song worked and then when trying to download the second song I get the following error message:  
       ERROR COPYING FILE OR FOLDER
      X Cannot copy (name of song): Cannot find the
      specified file.

       Make sure you specify the correct path and file
       name.

That's the message I get, so If someone knows what I should do after getting this message .... please let me know.

did you check to see if there is a fermware\driver update for the NEX IIe.

yep that is my guess too there king sparta  but there is one thing that might work

check and see if the song files are write protected.?

and    then  try to uninstall the usb drivers you got with the player and reinstall them.  also  what usb are you using  the old one or the new 2.0 one.  maybe the drivers were made for the new one only ask the manufacture if  that is what  was done.   all though  it should still work on the old version?  

go to windows update site and check for any new updates your computer needs.  the xp auto update only gets the critical updates so you might need a driver from ms.   or any  explorer update..    you can check the explorer by being online then going to the control panel and then to add remove programs.  then find  explorer  and click on the change button  it should bring up a panel that asks if you want to modify it or repair it.  click on repair  and then if it needs a file it will get it from ms's site and  tell you to reboot,
then you reboot and get   back online and go straight to windows update to make sure it got all the files.  

other then that i cant think of anything else to do ?  but keep hounding the manufacture of the mp3 player because if the above does not work then it is most denfently the mp3 manufacuters fault and they dont want to admit it.
