MC on desktop -- output audio to Chromecast?

Is there some way for MC to send audio from the Desktop application of MC to my Chromecast device? 

I did find reference to "Title: NEW: Chromecast Support Post by: JimH on May 14, 2014, 02:30:36 pm" but that was for use with Gizmo. That does work well for what it does but I'd like to go directly from my laptop to my Chromecast, is there some way this can be done?
