I'm having all sorts of problems with JRemote on Android now. The Cast function will not allow you play more than one file at a time. You can add to "Play Now", "Play Next", "Append to 'Now Playing' list", "Play all now", "Play all next", or "Add all to now playing" and the result is the same: It will play the track and stop. Often times, it will crash JRemote.

Also, will the "Use device as Theater View remote" function, from Gizmo appear in JRemote? It's the only function (that I can see) that isn't carried over from Gizmo, so I now have to keep both Apps.

I only use my apps for audio.

I had the same problem when trying to play to "This Device" with JRemote on my Android phone. I just went back to using Gizmo when I needed to play through the phone.

a) I can cast, and
b) I can search by songs.
