Windows 10 Problem

I am using Windows 10 with SPDIF and it works fine with VLC and Music Bee. Media Center produces either a loud garbled noise or no sound at all with any of the SPDIF options presented. Any suggestions.

BTW: Windows 7 did not cause any similar poblem.

I am also having a recent problem with recurrent crackling noises even on downloaded HD audio tracks and noise/interrupions of HLS radio streams (BBC). Is this related to the most recentupdate?
