Mac and Korg DS-DAC 100

(1/3) > >>

Blackclassic:
I am very happy with my Korg DS-DAC 100, using the latest Korg Audio Gate Software. Playing wonderful music in DSD 64 and 128 mode. But Audio Gate has no functionalities in using playlists and organize music. So I bought JRiver MC which has all what I am searching for to organize music.
But unfortunately it does not play the Korg DS-DAC 100, no idea why. Tried a lot of different settings but the only I get are crazy error notes, no music. No difference trying to play DSF-Files or AIF-Files via DoP.
MC finds the Korg DS-DAC 100 in the settings using Core Audio.
Can you help me?
(OS X Yosemite, MC 21)
Thanks a lot in advance ...

Do other music programs play to the DAC, besides the one included with it?  For example can you play songs with VLC, itunes, or quicktime player and hear them through the DAC?

Brian.

JimH:
Please try a search.  You will find others talking about Korg.  Here, for example:

@ Brian
yes, other programs play to the program, no problem with itunes or quicktime

I found this post, but it does not help. They used the Korg with windows and Asio driver. I have mac and the Core Audio driver. Maybe it's a problem of the driver, but Asio is not working with Mac, or?
Is anybody here using the Korg DAC 100 successfully with a mac-machine?

What kinds of music files are you trying to play with MC?  Regular FLACs, MP3s, etc?  Or are you only trying to play DSD files?

You should probably start by getting some regular files to play, then move on to DSD once that works.  Unless you're only using this for DSD?

In any case, you should probably start with some basic settings:

Tools > Options > Audio > Audio Device > Device Settings:

Exclusive access > (unchecked)
Integer mode > (Unchecked)
Channel offset:  0

Buffering:
Software:  250 mS
Hardware:  hardware default

Make sure to quit and restart MC after you make these changes.

Good luck.

Brian.
