Inlining attached images on the forum
« on: September 03, 2019, 11:56:03 pm »

It would be great if we could in-line attached images in forum posts... It would make for easier reading.  There's a mod for Simple Machines Forum that allows it, but I'm guessing it's not installed here.

Basically it lets you reference an in-line attachments the same way we can currently do for 3rd party hosted images with the IMG tag.

Like this?

Just attach a file, save the post, and then modify the post and insert an image using the link address from the attached image.

Oh, you might need to view the image on a new tab to get the URL of the large version. Or just expand it before copying the Image Address. Otherwise you get this:

Ah, I never thought of that!  Thanks Rod.

That's pretty clever... For an Australian.  ;D

We're a smart bunch...

...except when it comes to electing politicians. Although your record on that isn't brilliant either!

Yeah, I really can't say anything to that.   ::)

Although the Brits are right there with us now, aren't they?  Makes me feel not quite so bad...
