When I switch tracks using JRemote on my IPad, very often, but not quite always, the systems skips around on the new track, making an awful racket. Instead of just starting to play the new track from the beginning, the system seems to skip forward and backwards, looking for a starting point. The result is disjointed bits of music blaring through my stereo -- very irritating. Sometimes the message "fast scrubbing flashes on my Ipad screen. Once this starts up. I pretty much have to wait until the end of the album before I can choose a new track and have it start up normally. I do not recall running into this problem when I use JRiver on my laptop to run the show, but I very seldom use my setup in this way, so I cannot be sure.
My setup is as follows: Music files are stored on a Synology NAS drive on my home network; the library file and JRiver MC20 are on my Dell laptop; I use a Classe CP800 as a music renderer and DAC. Finally, I use the JRemote app on my Ipad as my remote.
