Can JRiver encode (add/change) ISRC codes?
« on: May 13, 2016, 05:47:19 pm »

As a pro mastering engineer, I'd love to be able to tag files with ISRC codes. Even my DAW (Sequoia), which does support ISRC in BWAV files, is not as ergonomic at tagging at JRiver. One problem though is that Broadcast wav uses a different standard header and doesn't subscribe to the ID3 tag approach. Mostly at this point I like to be able to read and write ISRC in flac and MP3. Thanks.

I'm not familiar with ISRC codes.

Could you give me a little run down?

From the ID3.org spec I found this much:

[ISRC] ISO 3901:1986
International Standard Recording Code (ISRC).
Technical committee / subcommittee: TC 46 / SC 9

TSRC
The 'ISRC' frame should contain the International Standard Recording
Code [ISRC] (12 characters).

Thanks.
