Please if someone can tell, which combinations of files (pdf, jpg, png) in the same folder of the music files or a subfolder or a parallel folder enable proper display by click on the paper clip symbol?

So far I experienced, that assets in a parallel folder to the music files within a parent album directory are not shown.
File in the same folder an in subfolders to the music files are normally show. But sometimes, assets in a subfolder are not shown.
I have no clue, why. is it a difference if autoimport self triggered or manualy triggered is used? Any other idea, why sometimes assets don't show? Special characters in the path name is a problem?
