JRiver to control sound level

Hi All,

About to change my amp setup and the new pre amp does not have a remote control - I have been using fixed volume to-the DAC and remote control for the pre amp up to now.


Which volume setting is best in JRiver in order not to lose sound quality?

The DAC driver is ASIO if that's relevant.
