How to memorize custom preset for columns?
« on: May 17, 2016, 12:39:50 pm »

Hello, I can't find a way to memorize my custom preset for columns in standard view? Each time I start the program it's set back to default.

You can save/load presets:

Right click on any column header and look for 'presets'

Having said that, column headers shouldn't change between sessions...

Yes, that's what I need to do each time I restart MC. I have an expression that change the colour of the title depending of the number of channels. Always been like that. No matter the last preset, it always switch to some default view not existing in presets.

What is your Options->Startup->Startup Interface->Location

set to?

MC remembers your changes between sessions so you shouldn't need to reload a preset each time.  I wonder if there is a write permissions issue on the views files stopping your changes from being recorded externally?  But I would guess this would generate an error while using MC...

Anyway, I'm just guessing here, sorry.

Are you making these changes on an MC client perhaps? If so, you need to make the changes on the server MC to have them persistent on the client.

Exactly, I have done the changes on the client and it was taking the settings from the server. I should have guessed!
Thanks everyone.
