I would like to highlight a modernized interface I just came across for the
Wikipedia search(link)within JRiver MC.
It is called Wikiwand and works for Windows and Mac, (Link)
https://www.wikiwand.com/.
the link is the home page, here is a link that shows what you see when installed.
And how the new interface presents your search http://www.wikiwand.com/en/Patricia_Barber
If this link is not highlighted /highlight and right click and open in new tab
And this is what it can look like for a movie, although not directly happening from JRiver Movies wiki link
https://www.wikiwand.com/en/Bhopal:_A_Prayer_for_RainOnce installed in your browser, any wiki link you click on in your browser, or CD cover(in JRiver)
opens in this Wikiwand view. I think for some people this has not worked, one friend
could not get it to work. And then he found that after a search of his PC that a malware
program on his PC was preventing it from opening.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have one issue that I would like to ask the JRiver Think Tank if they have an answer to,
when I click on a CD cover in my library and use the wiki link / it opens in the Wikiwand
interface, and presents a very pleasant experience to read about a certain artist.
When I try this with a movie, the search reverts to the standard wiki interface,
If I click the google link from JRiver with the movie highlighted and once google opens
and add the word wiki to the end of my search,to get the wiki link in google up first on the
page, and then click on the wiki link it opens in the Wikiwand interface.
So why is the wiki link for a CD search taking me straight to the Wikiwand interface
And the movie search from with in JRiver reverting to the old Wikipedia interface
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
and I hope anyone who has not tried Wikiwand likes it /I personally think it is
excellent, and a great search bonus for JRiver MC users(give it a try see what you think)
Thank you
