PMW vs MC21 for syncing Pono Player

Is there any reason to use PMW to sync the Pono Player rather than using the full version of MC?

I've seen changes in PMW regarding syncing which I assume are also in the full versions, but I may be wrong on this point.

For background, by desired workflow is to sync to MicroSD cards using an adaptor as that process is much quicker (the Pono Player is only USB 2). Of course the internal memory has to be synced with the Pono Player.
