Well, I managed by deleting files from the library, then from the "Previously removed" smartlist, then reimporting them from my laptop, and finally deleting them manually from my external drive.

Otherwise, I refined my views as in the attached pic.
For audio, instead of Connected, I created a view showing all the music on my laptop (a ThinkPad).
And I switched everything to French ("Connected" becomes "Accessible")
