Upsampling Problems.
« on: June 14, 2016, 02:31:55 pm »

Has anyone here been able to use the upsample settings with Mytek DACs?  I installed JRiver and tried to upsample my Redbook files to DSD.  I hear intermittent gaps every other second.  Music plays fine without upsampling and when I set the player to double or quad DSD, the DAC screen shows that's what's being delivered.  I tried adjusting the buffer settings and a different USB cable, but the problem was not solved.

Have a search on the forum as this has come up before. I understand upsampling to DSD is computationally intensive so the PC may be struggling a bit. Changing buffers hay help, or you might be asking too much (or it may be running background tasks). . . What does Help | Benchmark show?

No, the problem was the Brooklyn has a hardware buffer setting in the Mytek control panel.  Increasing the buffer size to the max solved the problem.
