Speed tagging of photos - any suggestions or perhaps a feature request?

I'm looking for a method in MC of quickly applying a single keyword tag to photos. This should be done either by remote on the big screen or in standard view.

Picasa has a Keywords pane where one can add "quick label" buttons. Something like that, perhaps?
