JRiver Media Center 21.0.90 for Mac -- Available Here
Magic_Randy:
False duplicate when syncing handheld devices.
The issue I reported in 21.0.83 still exists.
The false duplicate is a result of Disc# not being considered in the algorithm to determine duplicates.
Here is the scenario which can be duplicated with a single album.
1) Album name is the same for all tracks.
2) There are multiple discs, each track is tagged with the disc number.
3) Each disc has multiple tracks. There are no duplicate track numbers within a disc.
The false duplicate comes up when: The track # and track name are the same and the disc # is different
In my opinion MC does not need to do any checking for duplicates, but if you do it should consider disc#.

blgentry:
21.0.90 appears to import all MKV files as "Data". This has happened every now and then with previous builds. In previous cases, changing the [Media Type] to Video fixed everything.
With this build, after changing to Video, the files mostly work, but they will not update their [Duration] field. This was the clue to me that something wasn't right. Running Update Library From Tags makes the files revert back to Data. Duration remains at 0 seconds.
Reverting to 21.0.83, and running Update Library From Tags kept all newly imported MKVs as Video and updated their durations to the proper values.
Brian.
MrBiff:
AVI files are also getting imported as DATA.
Small video files are not being imported now. Sample that imports correctly in .83
