I bought Master License for Windows 10 and Ubuntu 18.04 to install v25, and installing licenses was a piece of cake. Now I also need to use v22 on Ubuntu 14.04. MC v22 on ubuntu 14.04 says "Your license file is for a different product". I found a solution for only Windows but Linux, and got stuck. Is there any way to install license to v22 with my recent license valid for v25?

A v25 license is only valid for v25 (and some late versions of v24), but it cannot be used with MC22. You should upgrade MC on Linux to 25 as well.

  • Long cold Winter...

Ubuntu 14.04 is likely too out-of-date for MC25 to run correctly (or at all). But since LTS support for 14.04 ended less than a month ago, it's advisable to upgrade to a newer Ubuntu LTS build, e.g. 18.04.
